Trucks are not only a means of transporting goods but also a significant source of income for transport entrepreneurs. The more a truck operates on the roads and the less fuel it consumes, the higher the owner's profit. Based on this concept, Mahindra Truck and Bus has released the Blazo i-TRK in the heavy commercial vehicle segment. The company positions this truck not just as a new model, but as a comprehensive business solution, calling it a 'profit rocket.'
Mahindra claims that this truck is capable of generating an additional income of about 1.5 million rupees over five years. One of the key advantages of the Blazo i-TRK is a 'guarantee of uninterrupted operation' lasting 48 hours. If the truck breaks down and Mahindra does not fix the fault within 48 hours, the company commits to paying the owner 10,000 rupees daily. This guarantee can be extremely important for fleet owners, as truck downtime directly leads to loss of earnings.
The Blazo i-TRK incorporates Mahindra's iFuelSmart technology. According to the company, this is an automatic driving mode equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the HCV segment in India. This system continuously analyzes factors such as road gradient and cargo weight, selecting the most optimal driving mode. This ensures no driver errors under any conditions and guarantees consistently high fuel efficiency on every route.
Mahindra has used its next-generation mPOWER engine with 320 hp across the entire Blazo i-TRK lineup. This engine is equipped with a turbo-maximized turbocharger and an Optifuel air blower. The company notes that these modifications improve the fuel combustion process in the engine and reduce unnecessary power loss. As a result, an increase in overall fuel efficiency of approximately 10 percent is expected.
The business of freight transportation depends not only on the engine and fuel consumption. The more comfortable the driver is operating the truck, the more stably and safely they can work. Therefore, the Blazo i-TRK features a premium air conditioner and a Comfimax suspension seat. According to the company, this seat helps reduce driver fatigue during long journeys. Additionally, the EzyCruise function has been added to enhance comfort during long highway trips.
To simplify the control and monitoring of trucks, fleet owners have been provided with the iMAXX 2.0 telematics complex in the Blazo i-TRK. It is integrated with the new Now24x7 application. This allows owners to track the truck's location in real-time and monitor its condition. The system also provides information on potential malfunctions through predictive diagnostics, enabling timely maintenance of the truck.
Remote functions have also been implemented in the Blazo i-TRK to improve safety and fuel efficiency. With remote air conditioning control, the owner can switch off the truck's AC if necessary. Furthermore, the Vehicle Crank Inhibit function allows the truck to be remotely disabled from starting. This helps prevent theft or unauthorized use of the vehicle.
