Imran Hashmi is known in Bollywood not so much for his films as for the songs from them; even with a relatively small number of hits, his musical compositions often became bestsellers. One such film was 'Avarapan', released in 2007, which over time turned into a cult classic. The release of its sequel attracted enormous attention from viewers.
The film 'Avarapan 2' managed to collect over 50 million rupees in net revenue in just two days. Audiences once again highly appreciated the familiar image of Shiva Pandit played by Imran Hashmi. He openly demonstrated his love and support for the film through social media posts, which apparently touched him deeply.
The actor expressed his gratitude to his fans through an Instagram post, acknowledging their constant support and love. He also marked the completion of his 23-year journey in Bollywood. Imran wrote that his first film, 'Footpath', was released on August 15, 2003, and from that moment began a path he could never have imagined.
He continued in his message: 'Now, looking back after 23 years, my heart is filled only with gratitude to all of you. There were many ups and downs in this journey, there were successes and failures. There were moments of great admiration, and there were times of complete silence... but in every period, you stood by me. You walked forward with me, supported me... You also forgave my mistakes and always supported me with a love that I can never underestimate.'
Imran added that even after 23 years in the industry, when his film reaches the audience, he still feels the same enthusiasm, excitement, and desire to create something new. He emphasized that a large part of everything he has achieved will always belong to his fans. He concluded: '23 years, countless memories... and a magnificent journey. Thank you to everyone who walked with me on this path. Somewhere inside me still lives that boy from 'Footpath' who continues to dream, learn, and search for his way.'
As for the film 'Avarapan 2' itself, it was directed by Nitin Kakkar. The film also featured actors such as Disha Patani, Purran Gabbi, Shabana Azmi, and Suvinder Vicky.
