Home Minister Amit Shah shared his impressions of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Independence Day. He emphasized that the defining moment of the celebrations was the performance of the anthem 'Vande Mataram' at the Red Fort, which preceded the announcement of political promises and development goals.
Shah called this performance 'historic,' the first since gaining independence. He stated that this moment gave him 'goosebumps' and filled him with 'pure ecstasy.'
Furthermore, Shah highly praised Prime Minister Modi's speech, noting that the emphasis on self-reliance (Swadeshi), prosperity, and self-sufficiency could become an important milestone in India's pursuit to become a leading nation in all fields.
In his post on the social network X, Shah wrote: 'Today, 80 years after gaining independence, 'Vande Mataram' was sung from the ramparts of the Red Fort. Witnessing this historic moment not only gave me goosebumps but also filled my entire being with pure ecstasy.'
