The holy month of Sawan is considered very auspicious for performing Jalabhishek (bathing) of the Shivlinga. However, there is a place in the country where five such Shivlings are washed by the deities of the sea themselves.
The Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple is located on the coast of the Arabian Sea, near the village of Fudan in the state of Div. This temple is situated approximately three kilometers from the city of Div. Although the temple is not grand in size, it is distinguished by its unique and extraordinary feature.
The main feature of this place is the presence of five Shivlings dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to local beliefs and religious traditions, during their exile in the Mahabharata era, the five Pandavas visited this area. They offered prayers to Lord Shiva and installed five Shivlings. It is said that each of these five Shivlings has its own distinct size.
According to legends, the first Shivling is associated with Yudhishthira, the second with Bhima, the third with Arjuna, the fourth with Sahadeva, and the fifth with Nakula. The Pandavas created these Shivlings based on their respective heights.
The Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple is very close to the sea. During high tide, the waves of the Arabian Sea advance between the rocks and reach the Shivlings. The seawater touches the Shivling, providing a natural bath to Lord Shiva. The waves arrive, touch the Shivling, and then dissolve back into the sea. For pilgrims, this sight presents a deeply spiritual and amazing experience.
During low tide, the water level drops, and all five Shivlings located among the rocks become more clearly visible. Therefore, it is crucial for visitors to consider the time of high and low tide. On one side is the vast Arabian Ocean, on the other are the natural rocks, and between them are the sacred Shivlings of Lord Shiva. The atmosphere here becomes reverent due to the sounds of the sea waves and the chants of 'Har Har Mahadeva'.

During sacred dates such as Shravan Maas and Mahashivaratri, there is a special devotion among pilgrims. Visitors worship Lord Shiva, offering him water, Bilva leaves, and flowers.
