Pakistani singer expresses regret over political reasons for not being included in Awaarapan 2

Two major films were released in theaters on August 14th: Imran Hashmi's film 'Avarapan 2' and Sunny Deol's film with Prithi Depto, 'Bantwara 1947'. One is based on patriotic themes, while the other is based on nostalgia, promising an interesting confrontation at the box office.

However, this is not the first time that Sunny Deol and Imran Hashmi have competed in the film industry. They previously clashed at the box office, specifically 19 years ago.

The confrontation between Sunny Deol and Imran Hashmi at the box office is nothing new. Both actors have previously participated in a clash of their films. Nineteen years ago, such a box office battle took place between the films of both stars. These films were titled 'Avarapan' and 'Apne', and both were released on June 29, 2007.

In 2007, when Sunny released his film 'Apne', Imran's film 'Avarapan' was released. According to reports, Imran's romantic drama earned 7.9 million rupees on its first day, while Sunny Deol's 'Apne' collected 1.89 crore rupees on its premiere day. Judging by the earnings, Sunny's film proved to be more successful, and the creators of 'Avarapan' had to regret their decision.

Projections suggest that Imran's film could collect 15 crore rupees on the first day. According to Sakencilk, the film has already earned 4.16 crore rupees from advance bookings and 6.65 crore rupees including reserved seats. Sunny Deol's film 'Bantwara 1947' potentially could start collecting from 10–11 crore rupees on the first day. In terms of collections, the advantage is on Imran's side this time, and it is expected that 'Avarapan 2' will be more successful than 'Bantwara 1947'.

A video has surfaced featuring Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, a former Pakistani Interior Minister. The recording shows Sheikh Rashid on a stage at an event alongside individuals associated with the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. During his speech, he declares his loyalty to the founder of this terrorist group, Hafiz Saeed, referring to himself as his 'slave.'

In the video, Sheikh Rashid utters the phrase: 'I am the slave of Hafiz Saeed sahib.' He also claims that after obtaining Hafiz Saeed's number on his phone, he was expelled from America. Following this, he began using threatening language towards India.

According to reports, Sheikh Rashid stated: 'No birds will sing in India, nor will bells ring in the temples of Birla.' Furthermore, he warned of threats against India, asserting that if India pays attention to Pakistan, Allah will destroy it. In the footage, he also declares that he is 'with Pakistan and with Hafiz Saeed sahib.'

Also present next to Sheikh Rashid in the video is Khalid Masood Sandhu, president of the Pakistan Central Muslim League, and the presence of Qari Mohammed Yaqub Sheikh is also claimed. However, there is currently no independent confirmation of the released video or the exact date of its recording.

Hafiz Saeed is the founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and one of the main organizers of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The US has designated Lashkar-e-Taiba as a terrorist organization. Saeed has already been convicted in Pakistan on terrorism financing charges.

Previously, Sheikh Rashid had also come under scrutiny due to alleged ties with Hafiz Saeed and Lashkar. In 2012, questioning regarding these alleged connections took place in America. Nevertheless, Rashid denied all these accusations.

This new video material has once again raised questions in Pakistani politics about the supposed relationship between terrorist organizations and representatives of mainstream politics.

The film 'The Paradise,' directed by Shrikant Odela, will be released in theaters on September 24, 2026. It will be available in eight languages: Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, English, and Spanish.

Key roles in the film are also played by Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni, and Mohan Babu. The music for the film was composed by Aniruddha Ravichander, and it will be produced by SLV Cinemas.
