Podrecca Architects designed the renovation of the MANZ Bel Étage publishing house headquarters in Vienna

In the collaboration between CALYCES and DearRibane, the transition from model to structure, from structure to environment, and from body to part of architecture is explored. This process of moving from surface to volume, from pattern to structure, creates a strong connection with clothing construction. The pattern initially represents a flat element that is then cut, folded, and assembled around the body. Architecture follows a similar logic: planes turn into walls, volumes into spaces, and structures begin to define how the body moves within them.

This interconnectedness is evident in the monumental semi-transparent sculpture created by Baxter and Allen for DearLand. This work exists somewhere between shelter and enclosure, architecture and organism, forming a space that feels simultaneously protective and unsettling. It prompts the viewer to consider the relationship between the body and the structures that contain it.

Dialogue with DearRibane

During this dialogue, DearRibane presented a series of sculptural garments conceived not as fashion in the traditional sense, but as an extension of the artwork itself. Volume becomes language, structure becomes silhouette, and membrane becomes the boundary between the body and the surrounding environment. These garments respond to Calyces's architectural and sculptural lexicon, translating its ideas into forms that move with the body. They function not merely as clothing, but as an additional layer of spatial construction, objects that alter the relationship between the wearer and the surrounding space.

It is here that the collaboration gains particular interest. The exchange of ideas between Baxter, Allen, and DearRibane does not view fashion, sculpture, and architecture as separate disciplines. Instead, it demonstrates ways in which each can enrich the others. At the DearLand venue, these relationships become tangible: the viewer encounters a space-occupying work, while the garments extend this spatial language onto the body. The boundary between object, environment, and clothing begins to blur.

The Calyces Models collection (2026) ultimately calls us to rethink the nature of the model. A model can be an investigation, a proposal, a sculpture, or a blueprint for something yet to exist. Within this collaboration, it also becomes a starting point for imagining how architecture can be worn, inhabited, and experienced through the body. Sculpture ceases to be merely something we encounter.

A trading house established by entrepreneurs from the region began its operations in Minsk as part of a delegation visit from the Namangan region to Belarus. This was reported by the press service of the Namangan regional hokimiyat.

Details of the Trade Platform Opening

The new trade and exhibition platform features textile products and knitwear under the 'Made in Namangan' label. Export-oriented goods from the company 'Art soft home' attracted particular interest from visitors.

The opening ceremony took place with the participation of representatives of the Executive Committee of the city of Minsk, as well as relevant ministries and departments of Belarus. The platform's opening occurred during the delegation's visit from the Namangan region to the Republic of Belarus.
