Royal Enfield unveils updated Continental GT 650 with new features and pricing

Royal Enfield has made a major announcement for adventure enthusiasts by unveiling the release of a new motorcycle. This is about the Royal Enfield Himalayan 440, which will be equipped with a new engine.

This model will be a variant of the Himalayan 411, featuring the LS 440 engine used in the Scram 440. Thus, Royal Enfield will add another adventure motorcycle below the Himalayan 450 level. Currently, the Himalayan is fitted with the new, more modern Sherpa 450 liquid-cooled engine.

Royal Enfield announced the release dates for the Himalayan 440, revealing the information on its official website and social media. The motorcycle launch is scheduled for September 4, 2026. It will be equipped with a long-stroke engine, which will give the Himalayan portfolio a relaxed riding character.

Previously, when the company replaced the Himalayan 411 with the 450, it introduced updates in engineering, technology, and features. This was the first model from the company to receive features such as USD forks (inverted forks), DOHC 4-valve head, liquid cooling, electronic throttle, TFT dashboard, and Google Maps mirroring.

The shadows of the motorcycle shown in Royal Enfield teasers indicate that it will be an adventure bike whose design is heavily inspired by the Scram 440. The upcoming model is likely to retain the fuel tank, windscreen, upright handlebars, and dashboard characteristic of the Himalayan 411.

Furthermore, a 21-inch front wheel is expected. The motorcycle will have front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. It will also be equipped with a TFT display similar to the Himalayan 450, which supports Google Maps mirroring. The new bike will feature a 443cc single-cylinder engine, providing 25.4 hp and 35 Nm of torque.

BGauss Company has introduced its new line of scooters in the Indian market. The brand offers various electric scooters, and among them is the latest model—the Oowah EV Pop Range. This series includes three different scooters.

According to the company's statements, all models in this lineup are aimed at the Generation Z audience. These electric scooters are designed with the needs of first-time electric vehicle buyers in mind. Special attention was paid to combining everyday practicality with expressive design and urban riding convenience when designing this series.

The features included in this lineup include full LED lighting, USB charging, a reverse assist system, and a battery discharge indicator. The BGauss Oowah model is available in two battery options.

The base version of the scooter is equipped with a 2.3 kWh battery, which provides the stated range of 105 km. Meanwhile, the top-tier Max and Max Plus versions have a 3.0 kWh battery and can cover a distance of up to 145 kilometers. All scooter modifications allow for battery removal.

These scooters are available in five color options and reach a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The Oowah lineup also features a 21-liter under-seat storage compartment. Additionally, a side stand sensor is installed to notify the user about the stand's position.

The charging time for the scooter from 0 to 80 percent is only 1 hour and 55 minutes. The company provides a warranty of up to 36 months or 36 thousand kilometers, and also offers an extended warranty option that consumers can choose in Silver or Gold variants.

The price of the BGauss Oowah EX starts from 94,990 rupees at the showroom. The Max variant and the top-tier Max Plus cost 122,990 rupees; there is no significant price difference between Max and Max Plus. Thus, with the EV Pop Range lineup, BGauss is targeting consumers buying electric scooters for the first time.

In response to the growing demand for adventure scooters, Honda has launched the 2027 line of the X-ADV for the Brazilian market. The main change in this model is an aesthetic update, which now features two new colors: Matte Pearl Glare White and Graphite Black. However, the rest of the vehicle's technical and technological configuration has been maintained, preserving the model's reference status in its segment.

The X-ADV's powertrain remains a 745cc parallel twin engine, equipped with overhead camshaft (OHC), eight valves, liquid cooling system, and electronic throttle (Throttle By Wire). This engine works in conjunction with the dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), which allows for both automatic and manual shifts.

The riding system offers five distinct modes—Standard, Sport, Rain, Gravel, plus two customizable modes (User 1 and User 2)—complemented by the HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) traction control.

Riding Characteristics and Equipment

Structurally, the X-ADV maintains its chassis built from tubular steel, a 41mm inverted front suspension, and the Pro-Link rear assembly with an aluminum swingarm, all featuring adjustments. The spoked wheels remain 17 inches in the front and 15 inches in the rear. The braking system includes two-channel ABS, configurable for on-road and off-road use, dual front discs with four-piston radial calipers, and a single rear disc.

In terms of onboard technology, the scooter features a 5-inch color TFT display that presents three different visuals, a backlit multi-function control, connectivity, Cruise Control integrated into the DCT gearbox, full LED lighting with Daytime Running Lights (DRL), a seat-under storage compartment with a capacity of 22 liters, and a USB-C port.

Ergonomics has also been maintained as a strong point, featuring a seat located 820 mm from the ground, an adjustable windscreen in three positions operable with one hand, and standard handguards. Additionally, the model comes equipped with Smart Key, handlebar parking brake, ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) system, and courtesy lighting in the space under the seat.

A modern differentiator of the Honda X-ADV 2027 is its commitment to sustainability, evidenced by the use of materials such as DURABIO™ plant-based plastic and other components made with recycled plastics and rubbers.

The official arrival of the Honda X-ADV 2027 at Brazilian dealerships is scheduled for August, with a suggested public price of R$ 93,500, excluding shipping and insurance costs. The vehicle has a three-year warranty, with no mileage limit, and includes Honda Assistance support throughout the coverage period. The maintenance plan establishes services every 6,000 km or six months, after the first service, which should be performed at 1,000 km or six months.
