CSCEC Discussed Pharmaceutical Projects with Representatives from Uzbekistan

The Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety of Uzbekistan held discussions on regulatory interaction issues in the pharmaceutical sector between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia. Aspects such as drug registration and certification were discussed.

As part of the meeting, the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety gathered representatives from pharmaceutical companies from Saudi Arabia and India. The parties examined in detail procedures related to the circulation of medicines in Uzbekistan, including state registration, recognition procedure registration, certification, documentation submission, and expert evaluation.

Center specialists provided foreign companies with information about the current state registration procedure for medicines in Uzbekistan. For their part, representatives from Saudi Arabia stated their readiness to support further cooperation between the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA).

Participants emphasized the significance of SFDA's experience for improving the Center's activities in accordance with international standards. This includes work aimed at achieving the WHO's ML3 maturity level in the future. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue practical interaction, exchange experiences, and discuss emerging issues through working-level contacts.

A business forum took place in Tashkent between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, attended by representatives from over 110 large and medium-sized private companies from Kazakhstan. The event was organized as part of fulfilling the directives of the presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan aimed at increasing bilateral trade to 10 billion US dollars.

Forum participants noted that the next stage of economic interaction development should focus on deepening industrial cooperation and creating joint production of high value-added products.

The National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, "Atameken," proposed concentrating joint efforts on three main areas. These include ensuring transparent access for enterprises to raw materials and expanding industrial cooperation, digitizing transport and logistics infrastructure and customs procedures, as well as increasing mutual investments, launching joint production projects, and localizing businesses.

The Kazakh side also put forward a proposal to create a permanent expert working group and develop a joint roadmap for harmonizing tariff, raw material, and customs mechanisms.

A practical result of the forum was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Uzbek company "Glasfit Energy" and the Kazakh enterprise "Armature Insulator Plant LLP." Following the forum, B2B negotiations took place, during which business representatives from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan discussed opportunities for implementing joint projects, finding new partners, and expanding direct business ties.

A delegation from Uzbekneftegaz, led by Chairman of the Board Abdulgani Sanginov, began a working trip to China, where they held negotiations with the management of CCDC, a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).

The parties discussed the development of their strategic partnership, the implementation of joint projects, and the further expansion of interaction in the oil and gas sector. Participants reviewed methods for accelerating the implementation of joint investment projects and identified priority areas for future cooperation.

It was noted that the interaction between Uzbekneftegaz and Chinese companies continues to strengthen within the framework of efforts to develop business ties between the two countries. A number of meetings have taken place with the management of CNPC since the beginning of the year, leading to agreements aimed at deepening the partnership.

Currently, the cooperation covers import contracts, service agreements, and joint investment projects. One of the central issues discussed was the response to the emergency situation at the M-25 field. Participants examined the technical and organizational aspects of the project, as well as measures to accelerate work according to the approved schedule.

Furthermore, the parties confirmed their commitment to the timely and full fulfillment of financial obligations under current contracts. During the delegation's visit, CCDC demonstrated digital and intelligent solutions to support oil and gas engineering operations, including an automated drilling system, a real-time production monitoring platform, and intelligent technologies for controlling compliance with industrial safety and labor discipline requirements.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further strengthening the strategic partnership, expanding high-tech joint projects, and implementing modern digital solutions to increase efficiency in production and advance the digitalization of drilling operations.
