In honor of India's 80th Independence Day, comedian Kapil Sharma will release a special episode of his Netflix show, 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'. The comedian will celebrate Independence Day with the team from the web series 'Operation Safed Sagar', Air Force veterans, and their families. A trailer for the upcoming episode was published by Netflix India on Thursday.
Promotional clips showed the cast of 'Operation Safed Sagar', which includes artists such as Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Diya Mirza, Pradjakta Koli, Mihir Ahuja, Taruk Raina, Arnav Bhasingh, and Amrita Bagchi.
The series team and host Kapil Sharma were seen in conversation with Air Force chief Amar Prit Singh and former Air Marshal Birender Singh Danoa, as well as with the real heroes who inspired the series. The filming location for this special episode was the Indian Air Force Auditorium in New Delhi.
The trailer began with the patriotic song 'Ai Watan Tere Liye' by Mohammad Aziz, which Kapil sang. The atmosphere became more relaxed when he started interacting with the audience, asking, 'Who here is not afraid of his wife?' The audience's responses and the host's humorous comments helped ease the tension.
After this, Sunil Grover took the stage in his famous 'Diamond Raja' persona, charming the audience with his unique style and humor. Comedian Kiku Sharda also actively participated in entertaining the guests. The clip concluded with a joint dance by all participants, after which Kapil paid heartfelt tribute to the Air Force officers.
The military drama 'Operation Safed Sagar', consisting of six episodes and directed by Oni Sen, is based on historical operations of the Indian Air Force in high-altitude combat during the Kargil War in 1999. Manu Rishi Chadha and Vinay Patak also played important roles in this web series.
