Delhi University changes history curriculum, removes Delhi Sultanate course

Dilafruz Karshievna Usmanova's Doctor of Sciences (DSc) dissertation on the topic 'Improving the competitiveness of the tourism services sector in innovative economic conditions' was defended.

In the Jai Prakash Narayan Sarowadai School on Mohan Road, Lucknow, anger erupted among hundreds of students dissatisfied with the unsatisfactory condition and administrative negligence. On Friday morning, students took to the streets to express outrage at the alleged carelessness of the school's management. They completely blocked the Budhheshwar-Mohan route and began an active protest, leveling serious accusations against the school's teachers and staff. The demonstration on the road caused a prolonged traffic jam, negatively affecting transport in the area.

The students stated that the quality of food in the dormitory was extremely low; insects were sometimes found in the food, but complaints were ignored. Furthermore, they pointed to serious negligence in medical care. According to the students, even if one of them fell ill, the pharmacist would simply hand out a Dolo tablet instead of providing proper treatment and evade responsibility. Students also noted a shortage of teachers, which negatively impacted their education, and their appeals went unanswered, forcing them to take decisive action.

Upon receiving news of the road blockade by the students, the Minister for Social Affairs and Chief Secretary Anrag Yadav immediately arrived at the scene. They calmed the students who were chanting slogans in the middle of the road and escorted them to the school premises. The Minister sat down with the children, listened carefully to each of their problems, and gave firm promises of prompt resolution, after which the students calmed down, and the protest concluded.

Speaking with the students, the Minister for Social Affairs, Asim Arun, stated that the youth's demands were absolutely justified, and he accepted them. He acknowledged that some improvements had been made but expressed dissatisfaction with the current situation, emphasizing the need for further progress. The Minister added that teacher training is conducted through contracts with expensive private schools, as well as through online learning. Regarding the teacher shortage, he reported that the issue was under judicial review, and effective measures would be taken within a week to find a solution. He strictly reminded the teachers that strengthening basic foundations is their duty.

For his part, Chief Secretary Anrag Yadav assured the students that the administration is making every effort to ensure the dormitory and school serve as a home for the students. He promised to renovate the hall, warden's accommodation, and all necessary facilities so that the children can focus solely on their studies and building their future without any hindrance.

Shirin Utkurova Rakhimova successfully defended her dissertation in pedagogical sciences at the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) level.

The topic of her dissertation was the use of the professionally-oriented stratified education methodology for training students in the economic field, with an example of teaching English.
