During the 2026 National Championship, a tense match took place between Pakistan Whites and Pakistan Blues on August 13 (Thursday). The final of the match was decided in the last over when Shahnawaz Dahani dismissed Hasan Ali, securing a six-run victory for Pakistan Whites. Following this decisive wicket, Dahani celebrated enthusiastically, running across the field and greeting the spectators.
Part of the attention was drawn by previous taunting from Hasan Ali. The match was held at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Pakistan Whites, having lost the toss, started batting and scored 245 runs. The team's top scorer, Shujaib Khan, who opened the innings, scored 71 runs. However, due to frequent player losses, the team could not achieve a higher total.
In the final over of the game, Hasan Ali dismissed Shahnawaz Dahani on the very first ball, and Dahani returned to the dressing room with a golden duck. After taking the wicket, Hasan attempted to taunt Dahani by imitating his famous celebration. At that time, no one could have predicted that Dahani would get the chance to respond in the next innings.
Chasing a target of 246 runs, Pakistan Blues players, including Maj Sadakat and Mohammed Fak, scored half-centuries. After these two players were dismissed, the team's pace slowed down. Mohammed Wasim took charge in the lower order, taking five wickets and allowing Pakistan Whites to come back into the game. When Hasan Ali came out to bat, Pakistan Blues' score was 198/7, and they needed to score 48 runs off 45 balls. Then Ahmed Daniyal and Sufian Mukim came in, but Hasan continued the fight and dragged the match to the last over.
In the last six balls, Pakistan Blues needed 15 runs, and the ball was with Dahani. Hasan Ali hit two consecutive fours, putting pressure on the bowler. The third ball was a dot ball, after which 8 runs were needed off three balls. On the fourth ball, Hasan again tried to hit hard, but the ball went into the air.
