Uzbek weightlifters continue to perform successfully at the home Asian Championship held in Tashkent. During another day of competition, the athletes added 15 awards to the team's total reserve: one gold, five silver, and nine bronze medals.
The gold medal was won by junior Muhammadshokir Turdaliev in the under 95 kilograms weight category, where he won in the snatch. Additionally, in the combined event in the same category, the athlete took second place.
Four silver medals were received by representatives of the youth national team. Bekzod Gofirjonov became second in both the snatch and the combined event in the under 95 kilograms category. Dilnur Kholdorova won silver in the clean and jerk and the combined event in the under 77 kilograms category.
Nine bronze awards supplemented the national team's collection. Among juniors, Alisher Osmanov took third place in the snatch and combined event in the under 95 kilograms category. Elbek Idiyev won three bronzes—in the clean and jerk, snatch, and combined event—in the over 95 kilograms category. Hulkar Ruzikulova took third place in the clean and jerk in the over 77 kilograms category.
In the youth category, Dilnoza Faizullaeva reached the podium three times, winning bronze medals in the clean and jerk, snatch, and combined event in the under 77 kilograms weight class.
It is worth noting that the day before this, juniors and representatives of the Uzbekistan youth national team had already won 18 awards, including 7 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
