According to the press service of the Uzbekistan Agency for Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry Development, the parties discussed the implementation of digital technologies in healthcare and the application of South Korea's experience in modern healthcare management in Uzbekistan.
The meeting took place on August 12 as part of Azizov's working trip to the Republic of Korea. Participants reviewed current healthcare projects, digitalization issues, and potential areas for further cooperation.
One of the central topics of discussion was the introduction of digital systems for clinic management. Furthermore, the parties studied the possibility of using 'Smart Hospital' standards when designing and equipping medical institutions.
Significant attention was paid to modern clinical management methods. Participants discussed studying South Korea's experience in this field and the prospects for adapting it to Uzbekistan's conditions.
Following the negotiations, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This document is intended to ensure the systematic development of cooperation in priority areas and the implementation of joint projects.
The Agency noted that this agreement will serve as a basis for expanding practical interaction between Uzbekistan and South Korea in the fields of digital healthcare transformation, modern clinical management, and the introduction of innovative approaches.
Cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea in the field of implementing digital technologies in agriculture, increasing production efficiency, and developing modern agroservices is expanding. As part of this cooperation, the creation of a center named 'Aqli chorvachilik' (Rational Livestock) is planned.
Uzbekistan and Pakistan have reached an agreement to expand interaction between their customs services by strengthening the application of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and modern risk management tools.
These agreements were concluded during a meeting of representatives from both countries at the international conference on Passenger and Cargo Control Program, held in Tashkent under the joint organization of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the World Customs Organization.
According to the newspaper Dawn, the Pakistani delegation was headed by Syed Shakeel Shah, a member of the Federal Board of Revenue of Pakistan responsible for customs operations. During negotiations with the First Deputy Chairman of the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed further digitalization of customs administration, improving monitoring of transit goods, and using analytical tools to detect violations.
Participants paid particular attention to the implementation of machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies in risk management systems, the creation of national targeting centers, and the development of real-time customs information exchange to enhance the security of regional trade.
The Pakistani side noted that Uzbekistan is the first country with which Pakistan has organized preliminary data exchange on import and export operations through the Pakistan Single Window platform. The meeting participants considered this mechanism an important milestone in the development of digital interaction between the customs services of the two states.
The parties also agreed to extend electronic data exchange to the transportation of transit goods. This is expected to accelerate customs clearance, increase the efficiency of border control, and ensure safer and unimpeded movement of goods.
Furthermore, representatives of both countries confirmed their intention to develop cooperation in the areas of mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operator programs, recognition of regulatory documents, broader use of artificial intelligence and data analysis in customs control, as well as strengthening interaction between government agencies and business.
Following the negotiations, it was decided to create technical working groups to develop agreements on priority areas of cooperation. According to Dawn, the implementation of these measures should promote further digital integration, advance regional trade, and increase the efficiency of transit transport.
Representatives of state bodies and business circles from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed opportunities for partnership in the field of pharmaceuticals, industrial cooperation, and joint investment projects. The event took place as part of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum held in Bishkek.
A panel session dedicated to healthcare and pharmaceuticals was organized within this forum. During the session, a representative of the Agency for the Development of Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan presented information on the investment potential of the country's pharmaceutical sector.
Forum participants received information about current investment projects being implemented in Uzbekistan, as well as about state support measures, the investment climate, and opportunities provided by free economic zones. Furthermore, reforms aimed at developing the pharmaceutical industry were presented.
During the discussion, the parties also exchanged views on expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the field of drug production, technology transfer, and the implementation of joint initiatives.
