Batch Bicycles has launched the eFT.3 electric bicycle, which stands out for having wide 20 x 4 inch tires, specifically designed for the urban environment. Unlike models focused on trails, this bicycle integrates suspension, lighting, fenders, and a rack, aiming to provide greater comfort during daily commutes.

This model is equipped with a 750 W rear motor and a 720 Wh battery, offering pedal assistance of up to 45 km/h. The suggested price for the eFT.3 is US$ 1,999, which is equivalent to approximately R$ 10.2 thousand.

Although it presents aesthetic characteristics similar to a fat bike, the eFT.3 uses 20 x 4 tires with a smoother pattern, optimized for riding on streets and bike paths. The set includes a suspension fork and seatpost, features that help overcome potholes, cracks, and other pavement imperfections.

The bicycle's configuration also incorporates accessories designed for daily transport. The model shown in the article has blue paint, distinguishing it from the black finish often seen on other electric bicycles. Additionally, it features a frame without a folding mechanism, eliminating the hinge found in many 20-inch models and resulting in a more robust structure.

The eFT.3 is equipped with a 750 W rear motor and a torque sensor. This system adapts assistance according to the force applied by the pedals, ensuring a more natural response compared to cadence sensors. In Class 3 configuration, the bicycle provides electric assistance of up to 28 mph, which corresponds to about 45 km/h. Meanwhile, the throttle has a set limit of 20 mph, or approximately 32 km/h.

The power source is an LG 48 V and 15 Ah battery, with a total capacity of 720 Wh. The distance traveled varies depending on factors such as the speed used, the rider's weight, the terrain type, and the selected assistance level.

For gear shifting, the bicycle uses a seven-speed Shimano Tourney set, chosen to meet the needs of daily commuting. Braking is done by Tektro hydraulic discs, which feature 180 mm rotors.

The eFT.3 also features integrated LED lighting both front and rear, as well as full-coverage fenders and a rack. These components increase the bicycle's usability for daily transport, allowing, for example, the carrying of groceries or a work bag.

The electric company Hero MotoCorp, under the mobility brand Vida, has introduced a new scooter. Expanding its Vida VX portfolio, the company has launched the VX2 Go FB model. This scooter is equipped with a 3.1 kWh battery and will be sold alongside the already available VX2 Go.

The main difference between the two models lies in the battery type: one has a removable battery, while the other has a fixed one. The new version, VX2 Go FB, comes with a fixed battery, meaning it cannot be removed for charging. However, the scooter can be charged directly via a socket.

The price of the Vida VX2 Go FB model is 1.13 lakh rupees at the showroom in New Delhi. According to Vida, the goal of launching this variant is to provide consumers with more choice by offering options with both fixed and removable batteries.

Buyers can independently choose the charging solution, usage, and scooter model. The VX2 Go FB will feature a 3.1 kWh battery and a claimed range of 128 kilometers according to the IDC cycle. It is equipped with a 6 kW electric motor mounted on a swivel mount and can reach a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour.

The Vida scooter supports DC fast charging. Hero claims that charging from 0 to 80 percent will take only 65 minutes. At a rate of 8 rupees per unit, charging the 3.1 kWh battery will cost less than 30 rupees. The scooter is fitted with a 4.3-inch LCD information display that supports smartphone connectivity and step-by-step navigation.

The model also includes 27.2 liters of storage space under the seat and a single seat. With the introduction of fixed battery options, the VX2 line will have five different configurations, including four battery pack variants. The smallest battery has a capacity of 2.2 kWh and provides a range of 93 kilometers, while the largest battery at 4.4 kWh offers a claimed range of 187 kilometers.
