Saksi Chaudhary targets Asian Games after Commonwealth Games victory

Having won gold at the Commonwealth Games, Saksi Chaudhary stated that her focus has now completely shifted to the Asian Games. The Indian boxer intends to continue her successful campaign in Glasgow and aim for another major international title.

At the Commonwealth Games, Saksi demonstrated a dominant performance in the women's 51 kg category, defeating Ruby White from England with a score of 5-0 in the final, which earned her the gold medal. Throughout the tournament, the Indian athlete remained undefeated, maintaining a perfect 5-0 record by unanimous decision, starting from the preliminary quarterfinals through to the final. Her gold victory in Glasgow was based on sharp footwork, solid defense, precise combinations, and sound tactical adaptation.

In the final match against White, Saksi controlled the fight from the beginning and secured a unanimous victory. The judges recorded the match results with scores of 30-27, 29-28, 30-27, 30-26, and 30-27.

This triumph gave Saksi additional confidence ahead of the Asian Games, scheduled to begin on September 19th in Japan.
