Honasa Consumer Ltd reported on Thursday a significant increase in consolidated net profit, which more than doubled to 90.45 crore rupees for the June quarter of fiscal year 27. This growth is attributed to increased sales of its main brands.
According to regulatory filings, last year, during the period from April to June, the company, which owns beauty and personal hygiene brands such as Mamaearth and The Derma Co, recorded a net profit of 41.32 crore rupees.
For the June quarter of fiscal year 27, Honasa Consumer's operating revenue grew by 27 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 755.94 crore rupees versus 595.25 crore rupees in fiscal year 26. Meanwhile, total expenses amounted to 659.27 crore rupees, which is 17 percent higher compared to the previous year.
Honasa Consumer's total income increased by 25.73 percent, totaling 778.45 crore rupees. Co-founder and CEO Varun Alagh stated: 'We have achieved the highest quarterly revenue and profit in our history, with EBITDA more than doubling to 110 crore rupees. What is particularly important is that this growth is happening in both our core and newer brands. Our focus categories have grown by more than 35%, and we are seeing higher demand in general trade retail, modern trade, and e-commerce. This is the strategy we aimed to build, and it is now yielding results.'
At the brand level, Mamaearth demonstrated accelerated growth within high double-digit figures, supported by its Focus Categories. On Thursday, shares of Honasa Consumer Ltd closed at 481.20 rupees per share on the BSE, showing a rise of 2.84 percent.
