India's exports in July increased by 19.63%, reaching $44.24 billion, while the trade deficit expanded to $31.98 billion.
Imports also showed growth in July, increasing by approximately 17.52% to $76.22 billion.
For the period from April to July of the current fiscal year, exports jumped by 17.04% to $173.78 billion, while imports grew by 19.27% to $292.38 billion.
According to Commerce Minister Rajesh Agarwal, India's exports to West Asian countries increased by 8.62% in July, amounting to $5.7 billion. Agarwal attributed the rise in the country's outgoing supplies to an increase in the export of petroleum products, electronics, engineering, and marine goods.
