As part of the Sputnik project, a video bridge will take place between Tashkent and Ufa dedicated to the results of Uzbekistan's business mission to Russia. The event is scheduled for August 14 at 13:00 in the Sputnik multimedia press center in Tashkent.
From August 2 to 7, a delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan conducted a business mission in Tatarstan and Bashkortostan in collaboration with the Small Business Society and the Light Industry Development Agency. During the visit, meetings were held with regional leadership, relevant ministries and departments, as well as with representatives of trade chambers and business circles.
Representatives of Uzbek and Russian businesses discussed issues of expanding mutual trade, industrial cooperation, logistics, and new investment projects. Participants of the video bridge will report on the practical results of the mission, agreements reached, and new opportunities opening up for Uzbek producers and exporters in the Russian market.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the European joint anti-missile system program 'FREYJA' is actively being implemented, and ten states have already joined this initiative.
Valeriy Zaluzhny, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain, stated that Russia has found countermeasures against the Western weaponry and military doctrines that Ukraine used.
According to him, Ukraine employed almost all types of weaponry and doctrines stipulated by NATO for 2026. Zaluzhny specified that exceptions include 'Tomahawks', nuclear weapons, aircraft carriers, and F-35 jets. He emphasized: 'The resource is running out. Russia has found countermeasures against all of this.'
The former commander noted that the ongoing conflict and scientific and technological progress have led the Ukrainian army to reach a new technological level, while NATO continues to rely on military doctrines formulated at the end of World War II.
Zaluzhny insisted that the alliance needs to fully transition to new standards and military doctrine. He also posed a question to NATO: 'Ukraine is fighting Russia without being a member of NATO. Should NATO members be prepared for war with Russia based on Ukraine's experience, or not? Let them say so openly.'
Previously, Zaluzhny stated that Ukraine should never join NATO, but later he supported the idea of joining the alliance, explaining that NATO must adapt to modern threats. Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that Ukraine's possible membership in NATO poses a threat to Russia's security, asserting that the risk of Kyiv joining the military bloc is one of the reasons for the start of the special operation.
