Actor Adil Hussain, known for his deep and expressive performances in cinema, has recently drawn public attention for his spiritual views. On the podcast 'Abra Ka Dobra Show' by Parsa Chabbra, Adil Hussain openly discussed topics such as the Bhagavad Gita, karma, the soul, reincarnation, and the meaning of life.
He shared that he regularly reads the Gita, and this sacred text has significantly changed his outlook on life. For Adil Hussain, the Gita is not just a religious book but a source that allows a person to understand themselves and reflect on their actions. During the conversation, he shared thoughts on karma and its consequences, emphasizing the importance of understanding the hidden motives and goals behind every human action, rather than simply performing acts.
Speaking about reading Hindu scriptures, Adil noted that he does not understand why he should avoid them. He stated that since he is a resident of India, which possesses a vast repository of knowledge, ignoring this knowledge is meaningless. He expressed gratitude for being part of this world. He mentioned that his grandfather told him about Sufism, and he never made distinctions between religions, spending most of his time among non-Muslims. His grandfather said that life belongs to the individual, and they must decide for themselves which path to choose.
Adil also quoted Rama Krishna, noting that 'the less desire, the purer the path.' He stressed that every person has their own unique path. He admitted that he studied Krishna in the Gita and is a follower of his teachings, and he has also read about Rama and Shiva. Furthermore, he studied the works of Rumi. From his perspective, from a religious standpoint, there is no substantial difference between these beliefs; differences are created by narrow-minded people. He added that Muslims appeared in the 1400s, whereas before that, various peoples existed in the world, and villains will always exist, regardless of their religion.
