One of the main participants of the day was Shahnoza Haidarova. The athlete, competing in the under 69 kg weight category, won three gold medals in junior disciplines: in the snatch, the clean and jerk, and two wrestling events. In the youth competitions, she also won gold in the snatch and two wrestling events, and secured a silver medal in the clean and jerk, totaling five gold and one silver medal in a single day.
In the under 85 kg weight category, Hikmatillo Haidarov achieved a historic result. He successfully lifted weights of 153, 158, and 161 kg in the snatch, winning a gold medal. During the lift of 161 kg, the athlete broke the Asian junior record. Additionally, Haidarov received a silver medal in two wrestling events and a bronze in the clean and jerk.
Other athletes also stood out in the competitions: Otabek Karimov won one gold and two bronze medals, Azizbek Qutbiddinov received two silver and one bronze, and Nurhayat Qobilova won two silver and one bronze medal.
The Asian Championship is taking place in the Olympic Village, where over 300 athletes from 29 countries are participating. The competitions will last until August 14.

In the under 69 kilograms category among juniors, Nurhaet Kobilova won silver in the clean and jerk and combined event, as well as bronze in the snatch. Azizbek Qutbiddinov in the under 85 kilograms category brought home two more silvers—in the clean and jerk and combined event, and became a bronze medalist in the snatch.
It should be noted that the Uzbek team had already won four awards the day before. Furthermore, the female weightlifters were successful the day before, securing three gold, six silver, and one bronze medal in this tournament.
Four athletes from Uzbekistan became medalists at the World Junior Championship under 17, which is taking place in the capital of Azerbaijan. Following the results of the last competitive day, the Uzbekistan team added two silver and two bronze awards to its count.
Silver medals were won by Jakhongir Tulkunov in the up to 55 kg class and Shokhiddin Aliyev in the up to 65 kg category. Bronze medals were awarded to Farrukh Mahmudov in the up to 48 kg weight and Bekhruz Ashirov in the up to 110 kg category.
On the final day of the tournament, three more representatives of the Uzbekistan team will continue to fight for bronze medals. In the up to 45 kg weight class, Muhammad Rakhimjonov will compete against the winner of the bout between Abdunazar Batyrkanov from Kyrgyzstan and Lasha Dotiashvili from Georgia. In the up to 60 kg category, Bekzodbek Ibrohimov will fight the best in the match between Witold Pawlik from Poland and Mikita Kuzmenko from Ukraine.
Additionally, in the up to 71 kg weight, Jaloliddin Jalolov will meet the winner of the bout between Kemrin Howard from the USA and Adilet Rysbay from Kazakhstan.
