The Nintendo Switch bundled with the game Super Mario Bros. Wonder is being offered at a reduced price on Amazon, reaching R$ 1,899 when using Pix.
This package, which includes the Nintendo hybrid console, the Super Mario Bros. Wonder title, and a three-month coupon for the Nintendo Switch Online service, features a significant discount of 37% compared to the original price of R$ 2,999.
Originally launched in 2017, the Nintendo Switch has established itself as the best-selling console for the century-old company based in Kyoto, due to its hybrid functionality. This system allows it to be used both as a portable device in various locations and as a tabletop console connected to a television via the dock, or even in a semi-portable mode resting on a surface.
The console's 6.2-inch LCD touch screen offers HD resolution (1,280 x 720 pixels), ensuring crisp colors and good brightness in both portable and semi-portable modes. When operating in tabletop mode connected to the included dock, the hardware is capable of supporting Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) on televisions.
According to Nintendo itself, the device's battery can last between 4.5 and 9 hours of use in portable mode, although this autonomy may vary depending on the type of content being run. The dock serves to provide power to the system and recharge the battery simultaneously when the console is set up as a tabletop console.
The specific bundle contains the Nintendo Switch, a digital version of the game Super Mario Bros. Wonder, where Mario and his companions must thwart Bowser's plans. Additionally, there is a voucher granting three months of access to the Nintendo Switch Online service, allowing online play and access to classic titles.
In terms of internal specifications, the hardware features the Nvidia Tegra X1 chip, 4 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage, while also offering compatibility with microSDXC cards up to 2 TB, enabling the installation of many digital games.
The complete set of the Nintendo Switch, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and three months of Nintendo Switch Online, available for only R$ 1,899 via Pix, includes two Joy-Cons, which support motion control and can be used by two players in semi-portable mode. The console has the capacity to support up to four players simultaneously, in addition to accepting other peripherals.
American consumer spending on games, consoles, and accessories reached US$ 4.49 billion in June 2026. This figure represents a 21% decrease compared to the US$ 5.69 billion recorded in the same period last year. The data was compiled by the consultancy Circana, which monitors the gaming market in the country.
Although the initial number may suggest a sharp drop, the Circana report clarifies that this contraction is directly associated with the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 in June 2025. This launch generated the highest volume of hardware sales in recent history of the North American market, which distorts the comparison between the two analyzed periods.
The hardware segment was the main driver of this reduction in spending. In June 2026, consumers invested US$ 383 million in consoles, representing a significant drop of 62% compared to the corresponding month in 2025. The content segment, which includes games, microtransactions, DLCs, and subscriptions, registered a significantly smaller retraction, totaling US$ 3.88 billion, or a drop of only 12%. Accessories also showed a decline, falling 21% to about US$ 232 million.
In contrast to the weakening in hardware, games, and accessories, subscription services demonstrated an upward trend. The report indicated a 7% growth in this sector, making it the only category with an increase in June. Although Circana does not provide value details by platform, this result corroborates the strategy of major industry companies to focus on recurring revenue, citing examples such as Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus, and Nintendo Switch Online.
Despite the sharp fall in hardware, Xbox was the only manufacturer to increase its console sales in June. According to the survey, sales of this platform more than doubled year-over-year. On the other hand, the Nintendo Switch 2 registered a 79% drop compared to its launch month, and the PlayStation 5 saw a 19% reduction. Among the released titles, EA Sports UFC 6 was pointed out as the best-selling game in the United States during the month.
Analyzing the year-to-date, the scenario looks quite different from the June drop. In the first six months of 2026, total spending on video games in the United States amounted to US$ 27.5 billion, which is only 1% less than what was recorded in the same period of 2025. It is concluded that Circana understands that the low observed in June is primarily due to the comparison with an atypical month, and not a structural slowdown in the industry.
