The Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Milky Mist Dairy Foods for an amount of 1,553 crore rupees will conclude the application period on Thursday, August 13. The shares were fully subscribed on Wednesday, the second day of the three-day trading period, indicating high demand from retail and non-institutional investors.
The company has set the price band for each share at 133–140 rupees, with a nominal share value of 2 rupees. The minimum investment amount is 14,980 rupees by purchasing a minimum of 107 shares, and subsequent purchases are possible in multiples of 107 shares.
The company, supported by Temasek, offers a discount of 13 rupees per share for employees participating in the employee placement.
The IPO includes a primary issuance of new shares worth up to 1,428 crore rupees and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of shares worth up to 125 crore rupees. Under the OFS, Satishkumar T, Chairman and Managing Director of Milky Mist, will sell up to 75 crore rupees worth of shares, and Anita S, Co-founder and CEO, will sell up to 50 crore rupees worth of shares.
Prior to the IPO, Milky Mist conducted a private placement that included 543,789 shares and 25 million Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) at a price of 139.76 rupees per share. The total amount of this deal was 357 crore rupees.
The offered shares are planned to be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India, with NSE serving as the designated listing exchange. The managers leading the placement process are JM Financial, Axis Capital, and IIFL Capital Services.
Milky Mist was founded in 1985 as a milk trading company and later began producing curd, launching the 'Milky Mist' brand in 1997. The company, based in Tamil Nadu, currently produces value-added products such as yogurt, cheese, curd, butter, ghee, ice cream, and UHT products, as well as frozen, ready-to-eat, and ready-to-cook products.
The Milky Mist IPO reflects a more specific trend: the business is less related to milk and more related to what kind of dairy business the Indian markets are currently willing to support. The company's offering to investors is based on a different concept of dairy products.
Instead of betting on liquid milk volumes, Milky Mist has built most of its portfolio around value-added products, where margins are higher. These products together account for more than half of the company's revenue. In fact, Milky Mist resembles an FMCG company that uses milk as raw material, although it sells some of it in tetra packs.
Suzuki used the Interlagos Festival as a platform to present new models in its line of sport motorcycles. Among the novelties, the GSX-8T stands out, a naked motorcycle with a retro design reminiscent of the T500 model from the late 1960s.
This new GSX-8T model was conceived by Suzuki's Italian studio, using the current GSX-8S as a base. Its look alludes to old motorcycles, evidenced by the circular headlights and the seat with horizontal stitching. Furthermore, it incorporates characteristic elements of café racers, such as rearview mirrors.
A technological advancement introduced in this modern model is the lithium battery, which weighs only 900 grams, contrasting with about 3 kg of an equivalent lead-acid battery. The engine of the Suzuki GSX-8T is a 776 cc twin-cylinder, generating 83 horsepower and 7.95 kgfm of torque, with a total operating weight of 201 kg. The official launch is scheduled for December, although the price has not been disclosed.
Another addition to the Suzuki line was the Hayabusa Special Edition, which will come in blue and white paint. This limited version, intended for the Brazilian market, will have only 120 units, each marked with an identification plaque.
The 2026 Suzuki Hayabusa line received significant improvements, including the adoption of the 900-gram lithium battery and adjustments to the electronic assistance systems. The launch of this special edition will take place in November, but its price has not yet been revealed.
Residents of the states of Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul will have access to a new mobile telephony operator, Brisanet, by the end of this month. According to a Teletime report, the offering will begin on the 26th, starting with smaller municipalities with populations under 30,000 inhabitants.
Brisanet has experience in the market, having previously focused on the Northeast states. Currently, it ranks as the fourth largest fixed broadband operator in the country, holding a 2.8% share, trailing Claro, Vivo, and Nio. In the mobile segment, the company began operating in the Northeast region in 2023, after obtaining spectrum licenses for 3.5 GHz (band n78) and 2300 MHz (band 40/n40) during the 2021 auction, in which other companies also acquired licenses, whether national or regional.
In May, Brisanet and other competing companies, such as Unifique, Amazônia 5G, and Iez!, also secured licenses for the 700 MHz band, which allows for greater capacity and coverage, increasing their service obligations. To date, Brisanet leads among the three new mobile operators, boasting just over one million customers, compared to the nearly 338,000 customers of Unifique and an undisclosed number by Iez! to Anatel as of June.
Unlike its operation in its home area, the introduction of mobile plans in the Central-West will be done through regional partners. This tactic is being adopted by the other two entrants (Unifique and Iez!), as well as several MVNOs. Superficially, this approach makes sense because it leverages the infrastructure already established by providers in these cities, in addition to reducing marketing costs for Brisanet. The company itself stated that in cities with more than 20,000 inhabitants, commercialization will be the direct responsibility of Brisanet.
Brisanet's mobile plans currently start at R$ 29.99 (valid for the first 12 months) with 20 GB and can go up to R$ 59.99. In locations without proprietary coverage, Brisanet devices use the TIM network, but roaming usage is less costly than what is allowed on the proprietary network. The company also offers 5G FWA for R$ 129.90 with 500 GB or for R$ 179.90 with 1 TB.
Brisanet's expansion into the Central-West can be explained by the fact that, in 2021, it also secured the license to offer 5G telephony in the region. The initial coverage goals from the auctions (both 2021 and 2026) are approaching: by December 31st, the company must cover 30% of cities with up to 30,000 inhabitants with 5G in its coverage area, in addition to fully covering the unserved sections of BR-101 and 20% of a list of localities without 4G coverage.
62 cities in Goiás and 53 cities in Mato Grosso do Sul will be covered, with a projected investment of R$ 100 million, and another 115 cities will be included in 2027. CEO Roberto Roberto Nogueira told Teletime that he intends to cover all cities with up to 30,000 inhabitants in both the Northeast and Central-West by 2029, anticipating the deadline stipulated for industry companies.
At the moment, extremely competitive offers are not expected during this expansion phase, given that Brisanet seeks to increase its ARPU (average revenue per user) in the mobile segment, moving from the current R$ 20 to R$ 30 next year. The intention to generate greater return from the customer base reflects an industry trend, where large corporations are already implementing new packages with initial values equal to or higher than R$ 30.
The French police highly praised the act of a 12-year-old boy who discovered 800 euros in a bush in Dijon, in the east of the country, last year and handed them over to the authorities. As a sign of gratitude, the relevant authorities decided to return the found sum to him.
On social media, the police presented this case as a 'wonderful example of honesty and civic spirit' and reported that the boy received a badge of honor.
According to a publication by the National Police of France on the social network X, in June 2025, Adam, who was then 11 years old, found 800 euros in a bush in Dijon. Together with his mother, he immediately went to the police station to hand the money over to the police officers.
Since no one claimed the amount, a year later the police contacted Adam and his mother again, inviting them to the station where 'the 800 euros were returned to Adam.'
The authorities emphasized that the boy received a badge and was able to share this special moment with the police, calling it 'a wonderful example of honesty and civic spirit that received a reward.'
In an interview with the local newspaper Le Bien Public, the mother said she was 'scared' when her son showed her the find from the bushes in the city of Dijon. She recalled: 'As soon as I left work, we went there. I didn't want to risk it; it wasn't ours. Adam understood perfectly.'
Adam stated that he plans to spend the money on buying a mobile phone and a laptop, as well as 'of course, giving a gift to his mother.'
