The schedule for the three-match T20 series between India and Afghanistan has been announced. The BCCI published the dates and venue for this series on its social media account on X on August 12th. The series will begin in September at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, and all three matches will take place there.
This is good news for fans residing in Delhi. According to BCCI information, the matches are scheduled for September 13th, 15th, and 17th, starting at 7:00 PM. Fans are particularly drawn to the young and aggressive Indian batter Vaibha Suryavanshi, who may unleash a flurry of runs in Delhi.
Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi is known for its small boundaries, which sets the stage for frequent fours and sixes. Considering Vaibha's attacking style, this ground is ideal for his playing manner. Recently, Vaibha shared a video of his training on Instagram, demonstrating confident ball handling, which generated significant interest among admirers.
Before showcasing his skills against the Afghan players, Vaibha will participate in the Dalip Trophy tournament.
Fans eagerly await the confrontation between Afghanistan's star spinner Rashid Khan and Vaibha Suryavanshi. Against Rashid's magical spinning deliveries, big hitters often struggle, but Vaibha's form and fearless approach could pose a serious challenge to Rashid.
Statistically, India has always held an advantage over Afghanistan. Out of nine T20 matches played between these two teams, India has won seven, and one match was won in super over. One match was cancelled due to rain. Last time, India defeated Afghanistan by 47 runs during the 2024 T20 World Cup.
