The administration of the Fergana region agreed to accelerate cooperation with Chinese investors and attract new participants for implementing projects in the fields of automotive component manufacturing, information technology, and agriculture.
On August 11, 2026, the Hokim of the Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, met with a delegation of Chinese investors led by Zhang Junhua. During this meeting, the parties discussed new investment projects planned for implementation in the region jointly with Chinese partners.
Zhang Junhua, who serves as an advisor to the Hokim of the Fergana region on attracting Chinese investments, reported that work is underway to attract additional representatives of Chinese businesses interested in launching projects in the Fergana region.
Special attention is paid to three sectors: automotive component manufacturing, information technology, and agriculture. Chinese investors expressed readiness to implement projects specifically in these areas.
Members of the delegation spent two days in the Kuvak district, where they assessed the investment potential of the territory, available opportunities, and the conditions created for launching projects. Specific plans are being developed following the visit for the launch of new investment initiatives with Chinese partners in this district.
Information about projects planned for implementation in the Fergana district was also presented at the meeting. Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized the regional administration's readiness to support the initiatives of Chinese investors, promising necessary practical assistance throughout the project implementation process.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to accelerate investment interaction between the Fergana region and Chinese partners, as well as to attract new investors and continue joint work on promising projects.
