During a video selection meeting on the fuel and energy sector, held under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the joint-stock company Uzbekhydroenergo, issues regarding the fulfillment of priority tasks were discussed.
The event, chaired by Farrukh Nurullaev, Deputy Board Member of the company, reviewed key areas of work. Priority tasks concerning improving management efficiency in the sector, strengthening executive discipline, ensuring stable electricity generation, and preparing for the 2026/2027 autumn-winter season were defined.
During the discussions, the main vectors of development were established: ensuring reliable and continuous operation of hydroelectric power plants, completing planned repair work on schedule, safe operation of reservoirs and hydraulic structures, wide implementation of digital solutions in production processes, as well as strengthening executive discipline and personal responsibility at every enterprise.
To ensure the uninterrupted passage of the current autumn-winter period within the company's system, a 'Special Monthly' regime was declared. Furthermore, a technical working group was formed under the leadership of the head. This group is responsible for assessing the technical condition of hydroelectric power plants, checking hydro-generators, hydromechanical and electrical devices, relay protection and automatic systems, and coordinating preventive and repair work.
Constant monitoring of the implementation of the set measures was established, and prompt elimination of identified shortcomings, as well as regular monitoring of task completion, was provided for.
The meeting also discussed the issue of training qualified personnel for the industry. It was noted that the company pays special attention to expanding cooperation with higher educational institutions in the format of dual education to synchronize students' theoretical knowledge with practical activities. Currently, students are gaining practical experience at construction sites and production facilities.
In addition, an organizational working group was created to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the sovereignty of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was tasked with landscaping and greening the company's facilities, festive decoration of territories, placement of propaganda materials, and holding high-level cultural and educational events.
Following the meeting, specific instructions were issued to the heads regarding ensuring the fulfillment of priority tasks, preparing HPPs for the autumn-winter period, and ensuring readiness for the celebration of Independence Day.
