Wife receives recovery notification for policeman 42 days after his death

A story involving love, infidelity, and a body hidden in a suitcase began in Nawada, Bihar, and subsequently spread to Silvassa in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, as well as Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.

A twenty-year-old girl from Bihar left her husband for a lover. Dreaming of starting a new life with him, she trusted her partner, who then committed murder. After the crime, the accused wrapped the body in plastic, placed it in a travel suitcase, locked the room, and fled.

Approximately two months later, a joint team of UP STF officers from Varanasi and Silvassa police arrested the suspect Rishabh Kumar Singh in the Chandpur area of Varanasi.

According to available information, Choti Upadhya was a resident of the Roh area in Nawada district, Bihar, and was already married. Nevertheless, she had a romance with Rishabh Kumar Singh, who also lived in the same village. At Choti's request, they fled their native village to Silvassa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, where they married and started living together.

However, both families disapproved of the relationship, and they categorically refused to accept Choti. A dispute arose regarding returning to the village. Despite a missing person report being registered against Rishabh at the local police station in Roh, Bihar, the couple continued to live together in Silvassa.

After the wedding, their relationship deteriorated. Reports indicate that Choti constantly pressured Rishabh to return to their native village, which often led to arguments between them. A serious quarrel also occurred on the morning of June 9th. It is said that in a fit of rage, Rishabh suffocated Choti that same evening.

After the murder, the accused made every effort to hide the body. He tied the corpse with rope and wrapped it in plastic. Then, he placed the body in a travel suitcase, closed it, locked the room, and left. After the murder, Rishabh fled from Silvassa to Varanasi, where he hid his identity and started working in a company.

Meanwhile, the room in Silvassa where Choti's body was kept remained locked for about two months. On August 3rd, the truth about the murder came out when the homeowner went to this room to rent it out to another tenant. When he broke the lock and entered, a terrible smell wafted from the suitcase in the bathroom. Upon inspecting the suitcase, the body was discovered, leading to the unraveling of the entire case. Following this, the police began investigating the murder and intensified the search for the suspect.

During the investigation, the police learned about Rishabh's presence in Varanasi. Subsequently, the joint UP STF team from Varanasi and Silvassa police began searching for him. Based on secret intelligence, the police raided 'Shubhkama Real Tech' in Chandpur, Varanasi. According to the police, Rishabh was working there under an assumed name. The team arrested him on the spot. After the police action, the accused was presented in court, after which he was sent into transit custody.

It was revealed in this case that 20-year-old Choti Upadhya left home for her lover and married him in Silvassa. On the other hand, disagreements intensified between them after the marriage, and the situation led to murder. Despite family disapproval, Choti decided to start a new life with Rishabh. However, after some time, disputes over returning to the village led to tragedy. Choti was killed following an argument on June 9th.

After the murder, the accused hid the body in a suitcase, locked the room, and escaped. Approximately two months later, the smell emanating from the suitcase, which was discovered by the homeowner in the room, exposed the incident. Following this, the investigative team tracked down the accused and found that he was working in Varanasi under a different name. Thanks to the joint efforts of the UP STF and Silvassa police, he was arrested.

A story from Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh, caused shock. Initially, a woman's body was found near the road, which the police first treated as a traffic accident. The wife herself reported her disappearance and later personally identified the body. However, after 48 hours, the police investigation completely changed the picture of what happened.

On the night of July 29, near the village of Paudhiya in the Lalpura police station area, a woman's body was found, according to local residents returning from the fields. The initial check indicated a car crash. The woman was identified as 32-year-old Rita. An investigation began after an autopsy, but evidence found at the scene suggested the situation was more complex than it seemed.

After the incident, Rita's husband, Amar Singh, went to the Sumiripur police station to report his wife missing. When the discovery of the unknown woman's body was known, he also arrived for identification. Nevertheless, thanks to police checks, mobile phone data, video surveillance, and interrogations, the whole truth gradually came to light.

According to police data, an insurance policy worth 44 lakh rupees was taken out in Rita's name. Amar Singh is accused of developing a murder plan with three accomplices to obtain this amount. The plan was to stage the murder as a road accident to easily receive payment from the insurance company. Police claim that Amar Singh was supposed to receive 15 lakh rupees from the insurance sum, and the rest was supposed to be divided among the other suspects.

According to the police version, as part of the plan, Amar Singh drove his wife Rita to the Paudhiya canal. Three of his accomplices were waiting for her in a car there. First, Rita was hit by a car. When she fell into a ditch by the roadside, the accomplices lifted her and placed her back on the road, then ran over her with a car to make it look like a normal traffic accident. This is when Rita died.

The investigation also revealed that Rita married Amar Singh about a year and a half ago. Rita had a deceased first husband. She met Amar Singh while working in Kanpur, and they got married. Relatives noted that this was Rita's second marriage and Amar Singh's third marriage. Thus, the relationship that started with love ended with a murder plot, according to the police.

The Hamirpur police solved the case in just 48 hours. The husband Amar Singh, Amit Gupta alias Ram, Pushpendra Soni alias Sahil, and Abhay Singh alias Golu were arrested. The car used in the murder, as well as a mobile phone SIM card, was seized. The police stated that the actions were taken based on technical evidence, video surveillance data, crime scene evidence, and suspect interrogations. All accused were presented in court for further proceedings.
