The Israeli Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday the receipt of an initial report regarding a possible case of Ebola virus affecting an individual who recently returned from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
According to the ministry, the person who arrived in Israel several days ago sought medical attention after developing a fever. The ministry emphasized that this is currently only a suspicion, and necessary tests are being conducted, with results expected within the next 24 hours.
The center of India reported to Parliament on Friday that the country screened 10,974 international passengers arriving from countries affected by Ebola since May 23.
These measures were taken after the World Health Organization declared the Ebola outbreak in Bundibugyo a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC).
Currently, there are no registered cases of the disease in India.
