The meeting took place during the working trip of the agency's director, Abdulla Azizov, to South Korea, where he negotiated with CefoBio CEO Park Hyunsok.
The parties reached preliminary agreements on implementing joint scientific research and development projects with the participation of the Pharmaceutical Technical University (PTU). One of the main areas of work will be the development of bone tissue regeneration technologies.
Furthermore, the participants agreed to jointly study the possibilities of transferring relevant technologies to Uzbekistan. Issues regarding the introduction of CefoBio's advanced biotechnological developments in Uzbekistan, the combination of research potential, and the promotion of next-generation medical technologies were also addressed.
CefoBio specializes in the production of therapeutic products for bone tissue restoration. It has a GMP-certified center that includes three independent production blocks, as well as specialized laboratories for virology, mycoplasma testing, sterility checks, and physicochemical analysis.
The Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan reported that representatives from Uzbekistan and PwC Consulting held discussions on prospects for joint work.
The areas of cooperation under discussion include geology, critical minerals, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. The meeting took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The First Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology, Feruza Khamidova, held the meeting with PwC Consulting representative David Goginashvili. The parties discussed the possibility of developing a partnership in the listed fields and implementing joint projects.
Participants expressed readiness for further expansion and continuation of cooperation between the parties.

Following the forum, B2B negotiations took place, during which business representatives from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan discussed opportunities for implementing joint projects, finding new partners, and expanding direct business ties.

The event took place as part of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum held in Bishkek.

During the session, a representative of the Agency for the Development of Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan presented information on the investment potential of the country's pharmaceutical sector.
Forum participants received information about current investment projects being implemented in Uzbekistan, as well as about state support measures, the investment climate, and opportunities provided by free economic zones. Furthermore, reforms aimed at developing the pharmaceutical industry were presented.
During the discussion, the parties also exchanged views on expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the field of drug production, technology transfer, and the implementation of joint initiatives.
