JSC Uzbekneftegaz and the Chinese corporation Sinopec discussed the possibility of deepening cooperation in the fields of geological exploration, deep well drilling, and the implementation of modern oil refining technologies, according to JSC Uzbekneftegaz.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uzbekneftegaz, Abdugani Sanginov, met with a Sinopec delegation led by Fan Xiangnan, who is the company's chief representative for Russia and Central Asia.
One of the central topics of the conversation was the development of promising hydrocarbon reserves discovered in the Ust-Karnag region following recent geological surveys. The plans for field development involve drilling wells to depths of 5,500 to 6,000 meters under high reservoir pressure and temperature conditions.
Uzbekneftegaz invited Sinopec to present modern technological solutions and commercial proposals for carrying out this work. The parties also considered opportunities for joint geological exploration and the development of new prospective blocks.
According to Uzbekneftegaz data, the volume of geological work this year has almost tripled compared to last year. The meeting participants studied the potential for organizing joint exploration activities in promising areas and subsequent field development.
Special attention was paid to the introduction of advanced technologies in the oil refining process. Furthermore, both sides expressed a desire to cooperate with research institutes within the structure of Sinopec and agreed to consider possibilities for such partnership.
At the end of the meeting, both companies confirmed their interest in expanding interaction and agreed to continue practical work within defined areas.
Uztextileprom held negotiations with a delegation from Yifa Commercial Group and the Association for Enterprise Development as part of the 'Belt and Road' initiative in Wuhan. The main topic of discussion was expanding investment cooperation, implementing joint projects, and developing trade in finished textile products. This was reported by the Uztextileprom Association.
Chinese partners expressed interest in launching investment projects in Uzbekistan, establishing a trade and distribution center, and supplying finished textile products to the Uzbek market.
For its part, the Uzbek side proposed considering joint ventures for the production of artificial and synthetic fibers. The delegations also exchanged data regarding investment conditions in Uzbekistan and prospects for exporting goods to the markets of the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The Association noted that Yifa Commercial Group unites about 7,000–8,000 companies and brands and manages nine trade and production complexes covering an area of approximately 700,000 square meters in Hangzhou.
Following the meeting, Uzbek textile companies invited participation in the XVI Yifa World Conference on Sewing Industry Experience Exchange, which will take place in Hangzhou on August 28–29, 2026. Bilateral B2B negotiations between Uzbek and Chinese companies are planned within this event.
A delegation from Uzbekneftegaz, led by its board chairman, held talks with the management of China's Jereh Group, a manufacturer of high-tech equipment for the oil and gas industry, during a working trip to China.
The parties discussed the current state of cooperation, the progress of joint projects, and prospects for further expansion of partnership relations.
During the meeting, participants noted that in recent years, Uzbekneftegaz and Jereh Group have signed a number of agreements aimed at enhancing the technical potential of Uzbekistan's oil and gas sector.
One of the key topics of discussion was Uzbekneftegaz's drilling expansion program. In this regard, the parties reviewed the possibilities of acquiring modern cementing equipment used in the construction of exploration and production wells.
Participants also discussed commercial proposals presented by Jereh Group and exchanged views on equipment supplies under mutually beneficial terms. Special attention was paid to optimizing supply conditions, considering the long-term nature of the interaction between the two companies.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties confirmed their interest in further developing the partnership and implementing new projects aimed at modernizing Uzbekistan's oil and gas industry.
The Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan held negotiations on July 29 with a Chinese delegation. The delegation was headed by Zhang Xue, Director of the Center for Innovative Education and Real Estate Research, and the Deputy Chairman of the Industrial Cooperation Department of the China Real Estate Association.
The Chinese group included representatives from Chinese companies operating in the fields of construction and real estate, glass production, manufacturing of door and window systems, and interior design. During the meeting, the parties discussed Uzbekistan's investment potential, opportunities for exporting products of local manufacturers of building materials, and prospects for joint project implementation.
Members of the Chinese delegation were also presented with information about land plots available for investment initiatives, as well as existing transport and engineering infrastructure. At the conclusion of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on further joint development of investment initiatives and the promotion of practical implementation of promising projects.
