Uzbekistan and the South Korean company DowGene Co., Ltd. held discussions on prospects for interaction in the field of biotechnology and molecular diagnostics, according to the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency.
The meeting took place during the working trip of the Uzbek delegation to South Korea, led by the agency's director, Abdullah Azizov. The parties reviewed several issues related to genetic and molecular diagnostics, DNA analysis, localized production of advanced diagnostic products, and technology transfer. The possibility of implementing joint research projects was also discussed.
Discussion of Cooperation Areas
Particular attention was paid to the introduction of modern diagnostic technologies in Uzbekistan, expanding scientific and practical partnership in biotechnology, and applying innovative solutions in medical practice. Representatives of DowGene introduced the delegation to the modern research and production infrastructure being established in BioPharma City.
The delegation presented opportunities for foreign companies, including the establishment of research centers, the production of innovative products, and the implementation of technology transfer projects. After the negotiations concluded, the parties agreed to maintain dialogue to develop practical cooperation in biotechnology and molecular diagnostics, develop joint projects, and implement promising initiatives.
