It is explained that a low-pressure area is a zone of reduced atmospheric pressure where moist air masses rapidly enter, causing cloud formation and increased precipitation.
According to meteorological service data, two separate weather systems are currently active in the Madhya Pradesh region and the Bay of Bengal. Following their intensification, an increase in rainfall is expected in central, eastern, and northern India. Currently, there are no signs of major systems causing heavy rains in South India.
Meteorologist Dr. Shashi Kant of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) stated in an interview that both weather systems could transform into low-pressure areas around August 12. This, in turn, will increase the probability of rain spreading to many states.
Regions where rain will intensify
According to the meteorological service forecasts, heavy rains are continuing in several districts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. Intense precipitation is also possible in several districts of Odisha and West Bengal in the coming days. Furthermore, rainfall is expected to increase in northeastern India next week.
Dr. Shashi Kant noted that the weather systems forming in the central part of the country are creating favorable conditions for rain. Simultaneously, due to western disturbances and moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal, good precipitation is being observed in some parts of the Himalayan regions.
The situation in South India remains stable
The meteorological service emphasized that there is currently no major system in South India capable of causing heavy rains, so excessive precipitation is not forecasted there.
In Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), cloudy weather is expected from August 11 to 14. Light or moderate rains are possible during these days, and one or two heavy downpours may occur in some places.

The maximum temperature fluctuated between 34–35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature ranged from 23 to 27 degrees Celsius.
