It is possible to access Instagram without needing to enter the password if a temporary link is requested and sent directly to the email address registered in the profile. This procedure allows access both on mobile phones and computers, eliminating the need to enter conventional codes.
This method differs from the standard Instagram password recovery process. While recovery requires creating a new access key, using the email login link provides immediate and specific access without modifying existing credentials.
Another way to log into Instagram without using passwords is through integration with Facebook, provided both accounts are previously connected in the Meta Accounts Center. To activate this feature, the user must open the Facebook app, navigate to the Meta Accounts Center, and select the 'Log in with account' option.
Next, it is necessary to activate the setting 'Allow all accounts to be used for login' to unify access. This way, when starting the Instagram app or website, you just need to click 'Continue as [Username]' to authorize direct login.
It is important to note that, unlike the email method, it is not possible to log into Instagram via an SMS link, as this option is only intended for sending the two-factor authentication code. The message received on the phone serves exclusively to confirm the user's identity and reset the password registered on the platform.
If access is lost and there is no associated email or phone number, nor a linked Facebook profile, the only solution to recover the account is to contact the application support to prove identity. By choosing the help option on the Instagram login screen, the user must provide a new contact method and record a facial verification video (video selfie). After evaluation by the security team, the system will send the necessary instructions to establish new access.
