However, thanks to the foresight, perseverance, and ingenuity of the engineering team led by Ramlingeshwar Rao, this complex area became the foundation for the Navi Mumbai International Airport.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Alluri Sitharama Raju International Airport in Bogapuram on Saturday, located in the Vijayanagarm district of Andhra Pradesh state. This modern, newly constructed airport was built at a cost of 5,640 crore rupees and is intended to strengthen air connectivity and stimulate regional development.
The airport terminal's design is inspired by local features such as the 'Chuttilu' cottage, Araku Valley, and the 'flying fish'. It is designed to handle 6 million passengers annually.
Shortly after the opening, the Prime Minister plans to lay the foundation stones for, open, and dedicate several other development projects to the country, with a total value exceeding 17,900 crore rupees.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister plans to lay the foundation for the first semiconductor manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh. Currently, major semiconductor plants are located in Sanad, Dholera, Assam, and Uttar Pradesh, in the state of Gujarat.
In addition to Andhra Pradesh, the Prime Minister will present many gifts for Karnataka. At the Sri Ramakrishna Temple in Mysuru, he will open the 'Vivek Smaraka' Cultural Youth Center, which commemorates Swami Vivekananda's historical visit to Mysuru in November 1892.
