US President Donald Trump stated that the final outcome of the negotiations between Washington and Tehran could become known within the next two days.

In response to journalists' questions about the possible opening of the Strait of Hormuz before leaving Los Angeles, he emphasized that the parties had achieved significant success, and a specific result would be disclosed either soon or now.

Earlier, the publication 'Axios', based on its sources, reported that the US side had reached a temporary agreement with Iran and Oman regarding the resumption of conflict through the Strait of Hormuz, and is preparing to officially announce this on Wednesday.

US President Donald Trump announced the resumption of contacts between Washington and Tehran. According to him, the negotiations are scheduled for Monday afternoon, following the cancellation of large-scale military actions planned against Iran.

In his statement from Air Force One, the head of state emphasized that he understands the tangible threat of an attack from Tehran. Previously, Trump wrote on social media that Iran and US partners in the Middle East had appealed to him to refrain from military action, and noted significant progress on the main condition of a future agreement between the parties.

He also mentioned that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as well as the leadership of the UAE and Qatar, had appealed to him over the weekend to cancel the strikes. Trump added that the exact timing of the negotiations has not been specified, and the decision will be made as the situation develops.

Furthermore, he noted the possibilities for ensuring security in the Strait of Hormuz and reaching agreements regarding Iran's nuclear program. Official representatives of the Islamic Republic have not yet commented on the date of the upcoming meetings or the conditions for participation.
