In recent years, the railway system has been actively developing, which is clearly demonstrated by the arrival of new model wagons. A solemn event was held at Chukursoy station, which is part of the 'Tashkent Regional Railway Node' branch, to welcome the route freight train named 'Slavic Caravan,' arriving from Belarus into Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by management of Uzbek Railways (UZR), UZR's 'Railway Infrastructure,' the 'Tashkent MTP' branch, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as members of the media.
Speakers at the ceremony emphasized that cooperation between the two states is constantly strengthening, and the opening of this route is a direct result of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus and the negotiations held with the President of the Republic of Belarus.
The leaders of the two countries identified important tasks for further strengthening strategic partnership, developing mutual trade, and expanding industrial cooperation. They noted that the implementation of these tasks is impossible without modern and efficient transport and logistics infrastructure.
During the bilateral meeting, which took place from July 11 to 14 of this year in the Vitebsk region of the Republic of Belarus, issues of transporting agricultural products and other goods by rail were discussed.
Train number 3034, consisting of 51 wagons, which departed from Orsha-Vostochnaya station on July 30, 2026, covered a distance of 3822 km and arrived at Chukursoy station.
As noted at the ceremony, Uzbek Railways (UZR) will continue its active work to create favorable conditions for the continuous development of cooperation with Belarusian railways, improving international transport routes, implementing modern logistics solutions, and increasing the volume of mutual trade between the two countries.
