The international dancer, choreographer, and musician Limpopo Boy has been excluded from the first Creators Assembly event following the appearance of an explicit video featuring him online.
Creators Assembly announced that Limpopo Boy will no longer participate in the event. The organization, which collaborates with sponsor BBS Bank, issued a statement regarding the artist's exclusion and mentioned that a suitable replacement is being considered.
The statement emphasized that Creators Assembly remains committed to its mission of promoting the growth and development of Botswana's creative economy, and BBS Bank is proud to support this important initiative. Organizers thanked partners, creatives, stakeholders, and attendees for their continued support and understanding.
The Creators Assembly event is scheduled for August 19–21 at the Grand Aria hotel and conference center in Gaborone. Limpopo Boy's exclusion occurred after he went viral due to an X-rated video where he displays his intimate parts with a woman who is allegedly married.
The musician from the Limpopo region, whose real name is Robert Matome Toka, addressed the video through his management. Limpopo Boy's management stated that the distribution of the video was unauthorized and malicious.
The video was apparently filmed in selfie mode from the musician's perspective; it shows him with a woman whom he exposes before turning the camera back to himself, extracting his penis, and stroking it in front of the camera.
The musician's representatives stated: 'This content was stolen without consent and distributed entirely without permission. This is a serious breach of privacy and a criminal matter.' They added that they are currently working with cybersecurity experts to investigate the source of the leak, actively engaging with legal teams and hosting platforms to ensure the immediate removal of these links and files.
Management also urged the public to refrain from sharing, downloading, or interacting with these links, as distributing the content is illegal and causes further harm.
