From August 3 to 7, an elite referee seminar will take place at the National Football Center in Tashkent, organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) specifically for the Western region. This prestigious event is being held in Uzbekistan for the first time.
The seminar is considered one of the most important training events on the AFC's calendar. Participants will include representatives from the AFC Referees Department, 92 elite referees from Asia, experienced instructors, and leading specialists in referee training.
The five-day training program will cover theoretical and practical sessions on topics such as modern refereeing standards, analysis of game situations, decision-making quality, on-field management culture, physical fitness, and effective use of VAR technology.
It is expected that this seminar will contribute to improving the quality of refereeing in Asian football, strengthening a unified approach, and international standards.
Furthermore, representatives from Uzbekistan, experienced instructor Valentin Kovalenko, and FIFA referee Ilgiz Tantashov will participate in the Eastern region stages, which will be held in Japan. This demonstrates the growing international authority of our country's refereeing school.
