Recruitment for the Agniviri position will take place in six districts of Uttar Pradesh, starting on August 17. This recruitment campaign will last until April 2027 and will be the third such recruitment drive in the state.
The Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, S.P. Goel, held a meeting at Lok Bhavan on Monday to check readiness for this event. He noted that a significant opportunity is opening up for the youth of the state to become Agniviri in the army. Furthermore, instructions were given to ensure adequate conditions for the travel and accommodation of candidates at the recruitment sites. It was also ordered to ensure reliable provision of drinking water, sanitation, and medical services.
At the meeting, directives were issued regarding the necessity of providing drinking water at the recruitment sites. Instructions were also given to establish reliable sanitation and healthcare systems. It was ordered to prepare preliminary action plans for security, crowd control, and transportation. Medical services will be available at the recruitment sites to respond to unforeseen circumstances.
Instructions were given to bring all aspects of the examination process to an ideal state. After Meerut, the recruitment campaign in Bareilly will take place from September 14 to September 30. In Lucknow, it is scheduled from January 11, 2027, to January 28, 2027. The recruitment campaign in Varanasi will take place from February 2 to February 27, 2027. The event in Ayodhya is scheduled for the period from March 29 to April 14, 2027.
