Ram Gopal Varma, known for his involvement in creating numerous gangster films such as 'Satya,' 'Company,' and 'D,' which have gained audience acclaim, is preparing to return to the industry after a long hiatus. He has announced his new Hindi gangster film titled 'Police Company.'
The director made this announcement through his X account. He stated that the film's production will be handled by T-Series. Varma emphasized that the slogan of this picture is even more dangerous than his previous film 'D Company.'
In his tweet, Varma revealed the plot, indicating that the movie is inspired by the activities of the criminal lord Daud Ibrahim's gang. According to the description, after eliminating most of his rival groups, Daud Ibrahim transformed his gang into a corporate structure. He then moved to Dubai, entrusting the management of 'D Company' to his trusted associate, Chhota Rajan.
Following a series of events between Daud and Chhota Rajan, disagreements arose, leading to their separation. This created a significant power vacuum in the Mumbai criminal world. Other gangs seized this opportunity, attempting to assert their dominance, which resulted in a sharp rise in crime in Mumbai. The situation became so severe that law enforcement agencies found it extremely difficult to control the activities of these groups.
Furthermore, youth from states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar began arriving en masse in Mumbai to join these criminal structures. In response to the uncontrolled situation, a special police unit was formed. During the period from 1997 to 2004, this unit dismantled over 300 bandits.
The director specified that his film 'Police Company' draws inspiration precisely from this special unit. The story focuses on the character Daya Nayak, played by Harshvardhan Rane. Many famous actors will also appear in the film, and information about the full cast will be disclosed later.
