Two major films, 'Avarapan 2' and 'Bantwara 1947', are expected to be released in Bollywood this week. Both movies are generating significant public interest. Actor Sunny Deol is actively promoting his film, while the creators of 'Avarapan 2' are using the power of songs and nostalgia to build hype.

Pre-sale tickets for both films have already begun, making it clear which movie is generating more enthusiasm among viewers. According to Sakencilk, Imran Hashmi's film 'Avarapan 2' is demonstrating strong audience support. By Tuesday evening, August 11, its film had sold about 20,300 tickets in major multiplex chains across the country, estimated at a gross collection of approximately 86 lakh rupees.

In comparison, the film 'Bantwara 1947' managed to sell only about 4,900 tickets, leading to a projected gross collection of around 20 lakh rupees. Considering the potential from booked seats, 'Avarapan' could bring in about 1.9 crore rupees, whereas 'Bantwara 1947' will earn only about 88 lakh rupees.

If the current pace is maintained, Imran Hashmi's film could collect around 14–17 crore rupees on its first day, Friday, August 14, with a double-feature release. On the other hand, Sunny Deol's film 'Bantwara 1947' might only earn 8–10 crore rupees on its first day.

However, according to a Pinkvilla report, despite 'Avarapan 2' leading in pre-sales, 'Bantwara 1947' wins in terms of screening count. Imran's film is not being given as many theater screenings. This is because PVR Inox is distributing Sunny Deol's 'Bantwara 1947', so it is provided with more screens and shows there, even though it lags significantly behind 'Avarapan 2' in pre-sales. Nevertheless, there are still two days until the premiere of both films, and the revenue and screening dynamics will continue to change as the release date approaches.

However, the main problem, according to the critic, is that Nolan has 'internally emptied' the main characters, despite the participation of brilliant actors. For example, Matt Damon significantly changed his image, losing weight, mastering the skills of sailing a Viking ship, and enduring physical hardships during filming. Nevertheless, on screen, Odysseus appears merely as a depressed and burdened man.

The author believes that the true betrayal lies precisely in this melancholy. The Odysseus portrayed by Damon seems like a man consumed by guilt over the massacre in Troy, similar to a Christian carrying a cross. This, according to the critic, does not align with the image of Odysseus from Homer's epic, who was a polymath—a man who knew many paths and could find a way out of any situation, where method was secondary to returning home.

Nolan replaced this moral cunning and resourcefulness with a feeling of regret, because regret is visually perceived as a depth that, in the author's opinion, is absent. Similarly, in the scene with Argos, the old dog awaiting its owner after long travels, Homer used only four lines to evoke a strong emotional response. Nolan, however, creates an atmosphere, making the viewer wait for this touching moment, but then it simply does not happen.

Ultimately, the author wonders whether this is related to the editing of the three-hour film, to hubris, or to what Nolan himself conveys through the film: 'I am Nolan. I don't need to explain anything.' This inner voice, like a metaphorical tanpura, sounds beneath every frame.
