The film corporation CINTAA is facing a serious crisis after 11 of its members, including eight elected members, suddenly resigned. This was confirmed by CINTAA Secretary General Upasana Singh. The reasons for these departures are extremely serious, which Upasana shared with the media.
Upasana Singh reported that all 11 association members submitted resignation letters due to Chairman Poonam Dhillou and Vice Chairman Padmini Kolahapure. Upon reading the letters received from the members, she voiced the allegations: they claim that Poonam Dhillou is abusing his authority, which led to their departure from the association. Among those who left CINTAA are well-known figures in the industry.
The eight elected members who submitted their resignations include Hemant Pandey, Mukesh Rishi, Sahila Chadha, Hetal Parmar, Punit Issar, Vindu Dara Singh, Vikas Verma, and Dipak Parashar. Upasana Singh told ANI that 11 members resigned, eight of whom were elected, and she received these applications. She also noted that the CINTAA committee has now been dissolved.
The resigning members indicated that Padmini Kolahapure and Poonam Dhillou are abusing their positions. They allege that the management ignores their opinions, and show-cause notices are issued arbitrarily. Furthermore, actors face role replacements without valid reasons, and actors' membership cards are canceled without prior warning, leading to various forms of pressure on them.
Upasana Singh added that people leave the organization only when they are under severe pressure. She mentioned that some members had previously resigned, but their applications were not accepted at that time. According to the CINTAA charter, if half or more of the members leave, the committee is immediately dissolved, and new elections are called. She expressed a wish for the registrar to oversee this entire process to ensure the elections proceed smoothly and correctly.
