French cyclist Alexis Gerens from the Anicolor-Campicarn team will debut in the yellow jersey at the Volta a Portugal this Monday. He will participate in an individual time trial between Anadia and Agedo, which is 17.4 kilometers long and capable of changing the overall classification.
Russian athlete Artem Nich from the same Anicolor-Campicarn team, who won the 2024 and 2025 stages and is more oriented towards time trials, starts at 17:05, trying to reduce the gap to his teammate, although the probability of closing the 1 minute 26 second gap on such a short distance is considered unlikely.
Brazilian Felipe Marques from Localiza Meoo-Swift Pro Cycling is ranked 113th in the Volta and will be the first participant in the time trial, taking to the track at 15:05.
