According to available data, in this picture, which is based on the work of Rajkumar Santoshi, Sunny Deol is the actor who received the highest payment, while Preeti Jinta takes 10 million rupees for starring in the lead role.
It should be noted that the film was originally titled 'Lahore 1947', and besides Sunny and Preeti, the legendary actress Shabana Azmi will also appear in it, although information about her salary has not yet been disclosed.
According to news reports, 'Bantwara 1947' was created with a budget of approximately 150 million rupees. Sunny Deol received 60 million rupees as his fee, making him the highest-paid actor in the cast. Preeti Jinta, who returns to the big screen in an important role, is presumed to have received 10 million rupees. The drama unfolds in Lahore immediately after the partition in 1947, and through the story of two families from different communities, it demonstrates the human cost of this partition. At the center of the plot is the story of a Muslim family that moves into a mansion previously owned by an Indian family. An elderly Indian woman refuses to leave her ancestral home, which creates tension with the new residents. However, as the narrative develops, the relationship between the families gradually changes.
In addition to Sunny Deol, Preeti Jinta, and Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Kanika Kapoor, and Abhimanyu Singh also participate in the film.
