Ingredients

The following components are needed for preparation: 1/2 cup white wine vinegar, 1/2 cup white wine, 5 cloves of garlic, crushed, 8 sprigs of fresh thyme, 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon sugar, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, zest of one lemon (zest only, no juice), 3/4 cup olive oil, and 1 kg of chicken wings. Finely chopped parsley is needed for garnish.

Instructions

First, mix all marinade ingredients in a large bowl and whisk thoroughly. Then add the chicken wings and mix well so they are evenly coated with the marinade. After that, cover the bowl or transfer the wings and marinade to a large zip-top bag and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.

After marinating, remove the chicken wings and pat them dry. Preheat the grill to medium heat and place the wings in a single layer on the grate. Close the grill and cook for 15–20 minutes, turning occasionally. Around the middle of the cooking process, reduce the heat to medium or low. Serve, if desired, garnished with finely chopped parsley.

Storage in an airtight container

Take a clean and completely dry plastic or glass container with a tightly closing lid. Place a dry paper towel at the bottom of this container. Then, arrange the selected dry and fresh mint leaves in an even layer. Place another dry paper towel on top of the leaves so that it can absorb residual moisture or excess air.

Using a bag or cotton cloth method

If you prefer not to use a container, you can wrap the clean and dry mint leaves in a piece of cotton gauze. After that, place this small package in a zip-lock bag and put it in the refrigerator.

After tightly closing the container or zip-lock bag, place it in the vegetable drawer of the refrigerator. It is recommended to check the contents every three or four days. If the paper towel becomes slightly damp or soggy, it should be replaced with a new dry towel. Thanks to this simple trick, the mint will remain fresh and green for several weeks.

A video recording of the incident where a group of tourists was chased by a hippopotamus in Botswana has been filmed and shared on social media. This situation initially caused concern, which later turned into relief.

The video was posted on Sunday by one of the tourists, Oznur Bell. According to the woman, who was traveling with a friend and three children, this was one of the scariest moments of her life.

Oznur Bell told CBS News that as soon as they realized the hippopotamus was chasing them, the adrenaline became incredible. She explained that she recorded the moment only because she was already filming the surrounding landscape before the chase, where she had previously spotted an elephant.

In her recollection, one of the guides on the boat saw the hippopotamus in the water and slowed down, trying not to disturb the animal. However, the animal perceived the presence of the boat differently, deciding it was a provocation.

When the animal started churning the water, the guide told them: 'Hold on — we need to speed up now.' The videos show one of the guides smiling, but Oznur Bell clarified that it was not a happy situation, but rather a smile of relief, as everyone on the boat was genuinely anxious at that moment.

After moving away from the animal, the guides reported that hippos are known for their 'extreme territoriality,' but such a chase is rare. The tourist emphasized that they were told they witnessed a truly unusual encounter.

Hippopotamuses are herbivores, feeding mainly on grass and plants. Nevertheless, they are considered dangerous as they are the third largest land animal after elephants and white rhinos. They can weigh up to 3600 kilograms, yet they are capable of moving quickly both on land and in water. According to data provided by CBS News, they kill about 500 people annually in Africa.
