Naren demonstrated incredible play, bowling 4 overs in which he did not allow a single run off 21 balls, conceding only 7 runs and taking three crucial wickets. Starting his spell with Akil Hussein, Naren consecutively dismissed Andre Fletcher and dangerous Kyle Myers.
He then got rid of Elik Atanase, thereby undermining the Patriots' attack foundation. By the end of the powerplay, the Patriots' score was only 24 runs with three wickets down.
