As a result of the modernization, the museum's exhibits have been enriched with interactive zones, digital technologies, and an entirely new method of presenting historical information.
Furthermore, the building of the renovated museum has been included in the list of modernist architecture objects in Tashkent recognized as UNESCO World Heritage sites. Over almost fifty years, the museum has accumulated a collection of 250 thousand exhibits, and it now boasts modern exhibition halls and an improved system for visitor interaction.
The renewal project was carried out by the Turkish company Outdoor Factory. Specialists from this company made changes not only to the display design but also to the organization of visitor routes, educational areas, and the institution's digital infrastructure.
Now, the country's history is presented in strict chronological order. Multimedia applications, interactive elements, and digital systems are actively used in the exhibitions. At the same time, the focus was placed on the exhibits themselves, and technology was used only as a supporting tool for clearer presentation of the material.
Toigar Yedigez, Chairman of the Board of Outdoor Factory, stated that during the project development, the team aimed to harmoniously combine the museum's historical value with current modern formats. He emphasized: 'Instead of putting digital technologies first, we created a narrative language that allows visitors to feel the history more vividly.'
The Director of the State Historical Museum of Uzbekistan, Jannat Ismailova, noted that after the completion of the work, the museum has transformed from merely a repository and exhibition venue into a modern space for cultural education that meets current museum standards.
The museum's modernization occurred concurrently with UNESCO's decision to include the modernist architecture of Tashkent in the World Heritage List. The State Historical Museum is also listed as one of the important objects of this historical and cultural complex.
