The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) announced in an official statement on Saturday the signing of agreements with five companies: Cashfree Payments, Darwin Dynamics, Vultr India, Cars24, and Council for Startup India. These partnerships are aimed at supporting startups.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cashfree Payments India, relevant startups will gain access to secure and scalable payment and payout solutions, as well as identity verification and risk management services, including preferential support during registration and commercial benefits.
The agreement with Darwin Dynamics is intended to promote capacity-building programs and stimulate innovation in strategic areas such as clean energy, green hydrogen, artificial intelligence, climate technologies, and advanced manufacturing.
DPIIT also stated that cooperation with Vultr India aims to improve startups' access to cloud computing resources, technical upskilling, and digital infrastructure, enabling them to create, scale, and implement innovations more effectively.
Furthermore, the MoU with Cars24 provides for structured mentorship for startup founders, promotion of training programs in mobility and automotive technology, assistance with AI-focused technological support, and the organization of hackathons and innovation contests to encourage solutions developed by the startups themselves.
Finally, it was added that DPIIT signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Council for Startup India (CSI) to strengthen support for DPIIT-recognized startups by facilitating access to investments, strategic partnerships, mentorship, leadership development, and global markets.
