The state-owned company BEML managed to reduce its consolidated net loss to 27.01 crore rupees for the June quarter of the fiscal year 27, which was aided by revenue growth.
The company reported in a filing submitted to the stock exchange on Friday that in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year (2025-26), it reported a loss of 64.11 crore rupees. For the reporting quarter, total revenue increased to 821.19 crore rupees compared to 642.56 crore rupees a year earlier.
Furthermore, BEML stated that in the first quarter of fiscal year 27, it received orders worth 1181 crore rupees, significantly more than 435 crore rupees a year earlier. Thanks to this, BEML's total order book as of June 30, 2026, amounted to 16,284 crore rupees, ensuring strong revenue visibility and a solid foundation for sustainable growth.
CMD Shantanu Roy noted that the first quarter results reflect the strength of the business's fundamental indicators and progress in the company's transformation process. He emphasized that the focus remains on clearer execution, operational excellence, technology-driven innovation, and building competencies in strategic business verticals. Roy added that with a strong pipeline of opportunities and growing presence in domestic and international markets, the company is confident in creating long-term value for all stakeholders.
