Fernando Alexandre assured that the reclassified exams have been distributed since 1:00 PM this Friday to all educational institutions, and that they will all be delivered today, although some cases may require additional verification.
The minister clarified to journalists that the reassessments are already classified and arriving, but there will be some residual cases that need to be checked, given that they are sometimes very specific situations.
He detailed that there are only a few dozen pending issues, but these are problematic and specific cases that occur annually, requiring contact with the school to understand exactly what happened with the exam.
Fernando Alexandre informed that the total number of reassessments is 20,000, and that the day before, almost all 20,000 were corrected. The minister added that, as has always happened, there are cases that can be resolved next week.
The minister guaranteed that any student who does not receive their grade today due to the need for further interaction with the school will have all their rights preserved to participate in Higher Education without suffering prejudice.
He reinforced that the reassessments are arriving within the established deadline, reiterating that this is the deadline announced since the beginning of the year, and that the August 7th limit remains unchanged and is being met.
The Minister of Education emphasized that the educational system has the capacity for improvement and to keep up with current times. He stated that the problems detected in the first phase have been corrected, ensuring the rights of all students.
Fernando Alexandre highlighted that thousands of professionals worked to ensure the accuracy of the external assessment and promote the modernization of the educational system. Although he acknowledges that not everything goes as planned, he stressed that the country needs to progress, and the educational system fulfilled this role once again, aligning itself with international best practices.
The government expressed its belief in the continuity of the digital assessment model, but mentioned that the National Council of Education will conduct an independent evaluation by the end of the year to present the pros and cons of this system.
Reiterating that the last month and a half has been challenging, he concluded that the implemented improvements demonstrated the viability of digitizing the classification and continuing to evolve the educational system. When asked about changes in the examination assessment process, he confirmed that there are, specifically regarding the errors that were identified and subsequently corrected.
