The space startup Astrobase Space Technologies presented an engine on Friday, which the company named the first private 800 kN engine in India. This engine, called 'Everest,' is a liquid oxygen-methane engine with full-flow staged combustion (FFSC).
The main goal of the development is to create reusable launch systems and expand the domestic infrastructure for launches. Furthermore, the company announced work on on-demand launch capability, which would allow for a special mission to be executed within 15 days of an urgent national need arising, although these goals still need to be demonstrated.
